MSRB Microphone Switch Relay Box

The MSRB is a single rack unit device that provides the ability to mute and un-mute up to 4 microphones via remote switch. Each channel features a separate control line that engages a relay to mute or un-mute (on/off) the corresponding audio line. The relay ensures that there is no signal present on the output line while the switch is in the off position. The separate control line also allows for LED indicators at the MSRP and the switch plate. The LED indicators allow for quick and easy trouble shooting or operation by clearly indicating when the microphone is muted or un-muted. The MSRB is commonly deployed with a locking switch plate that incorporates an LED. However, the switch can be any double pole double throw switch (latching or non-latching). Both the control and audio lines utilize single twisted pair shielded cable, such as Belden 8451. The MSRB passes phantom power, can achieve runs of up to 1000', and is compatible with various microphones and switches. It is powered by an included 12V power supply. The MSRB is a snap to install, featuring standard 19" rack mount chassis, clear labeling, and phoenix connectors for all terminations.
